Transfer & Disposals Surveyor

Dorset Council are seeking a motivated and experienced Transfer & Disposals Surveyor to manage the council's property transfer and disposal programmes. This is a key role supporting delivery of our Strategic Asset Management Plan, ensuring the council has the right assets in the right places to enable effective service delivery while achieving best value and full regulatory compliance., * Deliver the council's transfer and disposal programmes, ensuring full compliance with Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972

• Support delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan to ensure assets align with service and corporate priorities
• Undertake options appraisals for community and surplus properties, informed by feasibility studies and viability analysis
• Develop robust, financially sustainable business cases that support strategic property decisions
• Lead and oversee property transfers and disposals at pace, including agreeing heads of terms and instructing legal on sales, leases, transfers, and joint venture arrangements
